About Couple Or NotA couple of years ago, I decided I wanted a web site of my very own. Of course, I didn't know anything about what I'd have to do to get one, but I was determined. A few dollars and a lot of swear words later, I finally realized my goal. I wrote Couple Or Not for people who want basic legal information. There are similar thought processes in American law. State statutes and cases can be different, but the ideas that inspire them have many common elements. If you understand what these are, you will be in a better position to know why things are happening the way they are in your own case. I can't substitute for a lawyer who is schooled in your state's specific requirements. However, I hope to give you enough information to help you make intelligent decisions about his / her employment, and to help you manage your case in general. If your lawyer disagrees with me on an issue, please listen to him / her. I am like a doctor who has done enough surgeries to tell you how they usually go, but I can't know your particular situation well enough to over rule the surgeon in the operating room.
